Sonitrol Pacific Earns 4,900th Apprehension with Thwarted School Intrusion

Electronic security provider Sonitrol Pacific earned apprehension number 4,900 May 26 with the arrest of six juveniles inside an elementary school.

Everett, WA, May 31, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Sonitrol Pacific recorded their 4,900 suspect apprehension when law enforcement officials arrested six juveniles inside a Washington elementary school May 26.

An experienced Sonitrol Pacific sound analyst received an alarm signal from the school, verified the threatening nature of the activity and dispatched police. Officers arrived on scene and located the six suspects before the juveniles even knew they set off an alarm.

Sonitrol’s unique audio detection technology allows monitoring operators to verify every signal that comes into Sonitrol Pacific’s Operations Center and take appropriate action. Verifying signal activations reduces false alarms and increases law enforcement agencies’ ability to apprehend suspects.

Sonitrol Pacific, a Sound Security Inc. company, began providing electronic security services to businesses, schools, government facilities and organizations in Everett, Wash. in 1978. Beau and Debra Bradley founded Sound Security with the mission of creating a company that provided exceptional service and extraordinary security technology. Sonitrol Pacific’s apprehension record is evidence of that mission in action. Today the company operates offices in Everett, Seattle and Tacoma, Wash.; Portland, Ore.; and Boise, Idaho.

Sonitrol Pacific plans an open house at their Portland office in September to celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary.
