Arboretum Day Offers Fun for the Entire Family

Boone County Arboretum Hosts its 6th Annual ‘Arboretum Day.’

Union, KY, June 01, 2008 --(PR.com)-- City dwellers and nature lovers alike will find a variety of fun and educational things to enjoy at the Boone County Arboretum’s 6th annual Arboretum Day on Saturday, June 7th. Long considered a yearly highlight to many Boone County citizens, this year’s event promises to draw an even larger crowd with a host of events for the entire family.

Visitors will have the opportunity to hear live music from the Rabbit Hash String Band while enjoying a delicious lunch. Other activities include presentations by master gardeners and landscape designers with yard beautification tips, a children’s garden, and a family fun tent.

“Arboretum Day is a great way to get families outside enjoying all different aspects of nature. From nature hikes to kid’s crafts, there is something for everyone,” Boone County Arboretum marketing and events coordinator Laura Kline said.

The event will be held Saturday, June 7th, with activities starting at 9 a.m. at the Boone County Arboretum located at 9190 Camp Ernst Road in Union.
