Raleigh, NC, July 16, 2008 --(PR.com
)-- Prudential Carolinas Realty is proud to announce that Pat Radack and Wendy Evans of the company’s Durham office has won a Prudential CARES Volunteer grant from Prudential Financial. The program annually awards grants to charitable causes that Prudential sales associates support through volunteering their time and money to organizations throughout the community. Prudential CARES distributes more than $450,000 each year nationally in grants that range from $250 to $5,000.
Radack and Evans were awarded a $1,000 volunteer grant for the Durham County Schools Scholarship Foundation. The Foundation provides a scholarship in memory of Kayla Radack, Pat’s daughter who died in a car accident when she was just a junior in high school.
Since her death, Radack and Evans have devoted much time and energy to “Kayla’s Closet,” a free formal wear distribution program designed to help others attend the formal events Kayla was unable to. They also regularly work to raise money for the scholarship fund.
Radack can be reached at 919-452-3416 or Pat.Radack@prucarolinas.com. To find out more about the Durham County Schools Scholarship Foundation or to make a donation to this worthy cause, visit http://www.dpsscholarshipfoundation.org.
