Mountain Environmental has added a three-compartment laminated bagasse tray to its fiber-based foodservice range. The molded fiber tray is designed for ready meals, school lunch and catering, and its functional lamination keeps total plastic content below 5%. Baoding, China, September 19, 2026 --(PR.com)-- Mountain Environmental has added a three-compartment laminated bagasse tray to its fiber-based foodservice range. The tray is molded from sugarcane bagasse fiber and finished with a functional lamination, and is designed for multi-item meal formats such as ready meals, school lunch programs and catering.
Designed Around Multi-Item Meal Service
The tray is divided into three compartments, one larger well and two smaller wells, separated by molded dividers. The layout allows a main dish and two sides to be served in a single unit, reducing the number of items handled during meal assembly. The molded fiber body provides the rigidity required for distribution and display, and the tray is designed for stacking.
The surface carries no printing, so the natural fiber finish remains visible, and the lamination provides resistance to oil and water, preventing sauces and moist foods from wicking into the fiber.
Low-Plastic Construction
The functional lamination is engineered so that total plastic content stays below 5% of the product. Under European frameworks this keeps the tray classified as fiber-based packaging rather than a plastic item, which affects compliance reporting and extended producer responsibility fee classification.
