Bellevue, WA, August 05, 2008 --(PR.com
)-- People search and employment screening provider, Intelius, today announced it was named as a finalist for the Puget Sound Business Journal’s second annual Washington’s Best Workplaces program, marking it the second consecutive year Intelius has earned this honor.
Intelius, one of the Puget Sound’s fastest-growing technology companies, highlighted its unique corporate culture in the nomination submitted for consideration by the Puget Sound Business Journal. The company’s culture thrives on a mindset where all workers are embraced as an integral part of the company and its open-door policy ensures everyone has a voice.
“At Intelius we are always striving to create an open working environment for our employees where they can exercise their creative freedom and grow professionally,” said Naveen Jain, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Intelius. “We are honored to be recognized once again as having one of the best workplaces in Washington and this acknowledgement it a true testament to the strong camaraderie our office has.”
Intelius was selected out of a total of 65 finalists including 20 small companies, 20 medium-sized companies, 20 large companies and five nonprofits. Employees of the 300 nominated companies completed surveys, which were then used to select the finalists based on ranking in benefit offerings, leadership culture and work/life balance philosophy.
“Work-force development has never been more important – or more difficult – than it is in today’s global economy,” said Emory Thomas Jr., publisher of the Business Journal. “We believe the Business Journal, as the Puget Sound area’s top source of business information, has an important role to play in drawing attention to innovations and excellence in the management of our region’s No. 1 resource: its people.”
Honorees and the public are invited to attend an awards event celebrating the finalists of the Puget Sound Business Journal’s Washington Best Workplaces Program at Safeco Field on August 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The company with the greatest number of employees present will win a suite at a future Seattle Mariners game.
