Due to Michigan’s certificate of need (CON) regulation (http://www.michigan.gov/mdch/1,1607,7-132-2945_5106---,00.html) , Xoran Technologies Inc., an Ann Arbor Mich. based company, is unable to sell their revolutionary upright CT scanner to healthcare facilities, unless the facility can prove they will use the scanner enough to meet minimum thresholds set by the state, which is an impossible task. - September 09, 2006
