Seattle Animal Shelter Foundation to Recognize Retiring Seattle Police Department K9 Patrol Dog Ziva on Oct. 14; SPD’s 1st Female Generalist Patrol Dog Served 7.5 Years
With more than 5000 police calls, 81 felony arrests, 23 misdemeanor arrests and more under her collar, Seattle Police Department’s K9-3 Ziva is ready for retirement this fall before her 10th birthday on Nov.15. In addition to her crime fighting, with her partner A/Sergeant Mark Wong, Ziva’s helped raise more than $40,000 over the years for local animal organizations, including the Seattle Animal Shelter Foundation. SASF will recognize Ziva on Oct. 14 at Raining Cats & Dogs Auction. - September 25, 2017
