Mompreneur, Business Coach and Strategist from Birmingham, Alabama Launches Online Community by Sharing the Gift of Entrepreneurship Through Heifer International

The Maverick Mom, Sarah Robinson, launches a new community for mompreneurs who want to be stellar business women and stellar moms. To celebrate the launch, Robinson is asking all entrepreneurs to step up and give big to share the gift of entreprenuership through The Ark Project. This project will provide 15 sets of animals through Heifer International and will reinvigorate communities worldwide.

Birmingham, AL, December 19, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Moms who run their own businesses can find themselves in a challenging position. On one hand, they are accomplished business women and on the other they are committed moms. Pursuing both of these demanding roles can often feel lonely and stressful. Other business women might not understand the commitment to being a good parent; other moms might not understand the commitment to being an outstanding business woman.

Business coach and strategist for the mompreneur, Sarah Robinson, has answered that challenge by creating a community, or tribe, just for mompreneurs called The Maverick Mom. Here women will find tips, strategies, inspiration and a community of support and they pursue both of their life passions.

To celebrate the launch of The Maverick Mom, Robinson is asking that all entrepreneurs step up and join her in playing big and giving big through The Ark Project she developed with Heifer Project International.

Heifer Project International is a top-rated nonprofit that is in the business of creating economic stability in some of the most destitute parts of our world. In their own words: “Since 1944 Heifer International has worked to bring help and hope to millions of impoverished families worldwide. In areas where hunger and despair once prevailed, Heifer programs have reinvigorated communities through livestock, training and “passing on the gift”.

They accomplish this mission by using livestock and agriculture to help families start on a journey to fulfill the seemingly impossible - to secure food and a source of dependable income. Plus, each family who receives livestock passes on one or more of the animal’s offspring to other families who are in need in their communities.

Robinson is committed to raising enough funds to provide an entire “ark” of 15 pairs of animals to help others experience the satisfaction and the self-sufficiency of running a profitable, sustainable business.

“We are so blessed in this country to be able to start and run our own companies,” says Robinson. “Finding a way to share that and fulfill the dream of entrepreneurship that creates a sustainable livelihood for those who want it seems to be the perfect way to launch The Maverick Mom. It’s all about working together, everyone doing their small part and creating something much bigger together than we can alone. It may be a big vision, but big visions are what The Maverick Mom is all about.”
