Anne Erwin Sotheby’s International Realty Participates in Majority of Luxury Real Estate Sales in Kittery, York, and Ogunquit, Maine in 2008

York, ME, January 14, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Anne Erwin Sotheby’s International Realty participated in the majority of luxury home sales in the towns of York, Kittery, and Ogunquit combined, in 2008. The York, Maine real estate agency has led the way in the Southern York County, Maine luxury real estate market since 2006.

In 2008 there were 15 sales of properties listed at over $1 million in York, Kittery, and Ogunquit combined. Anne Erwin Sotheby’s International Realty participated in 60% of these luxury sales as the listing agency, the selling agency, or both. 2008 also proved to be a record breaking year for the York, Maine real estate agency, with the sale of an Ogunquit oceanfront property that was the highest price ever recorded in York County ($5.4 million) and the sale of Highland Farm, the highest price for a non-waterfront property ($3 million). Only one other agency participated in more than one such luxury home sale, with four, or 26%, of the luxury sales. In York alone, of nine sales with a list price over $1 million, Anne Erwin Sotheby’s International Realty was involved in seven, or 78%.

The real estate agency’s 2008 dominance in the luxury real estate market follows an equally impressive 2006 and 2007. There were 59 luxury properties that sold for over $1 million in Kittery and York combined between January 2006 and December 2007. Of the 59 properties, Anne Erwin Sotheby’s International Realty participated in 29, or 47%, of the sales. 2007 brought about two record breaking sales for Anne Erwin Sotheby’s International Realty, including the highest riverfront price in Kittery ($2.65 million), and the highest price in York ($4.175 million).
