Tolleson Union High School District Awards Contract to Edupoint Educational Systems

Tolleson Union High School District has awarded a contract for student information system management to Mesa, Arizona - based Edupoint Educational Systems.

Mesa, AZ, March 28, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Tolleson Union High School District has awarded a contract to Edupoint Educational Systems, an administrative systems solutions provider to the K-12 market, for its GENESIS™ web-based student information system. The school district, which has more than 8,500 students, will utilize features of the system to manage student information and provide easy online access to teachers, students, and parents.

“The GENESIS™ system is ideal for school districts that must document and archive comprehensive information on each student, and yet, also reduce costs and increase accuracy,” explains Rob Wilson, president of Edupoint Educational Systems. “We achieve those goals by minimizing data entry tasks and maintaining data consistency across all grade levels and all campuses.”

The contract was awarded to Edupoint by the school district on January 30, 2009. As implemented, the GENESIS™ student information system is a centralized web-based system that stores data on all students for the entirety of their attendance in the district. The system allows schools to easily track students’ schedules, grades, attendance, health records, disciplinary information, and much more. It also provides management and administrative tools that support all reporting requirements for the district.

The GENESIS™ system has been designed to maximize the productivity of administration staff and teachers. It is a major step in the district’s plan to develop a completely electronic student records system that will save time on administrative tasks while supporting the district’s ‘green’ initiatives. The tool is instrumental in optimizing every aspect of the educational tracking process, and empowers parents and students with secure self-service functionality to access personal and school information.

Implementation and launch of the Tolleson Union High School District GENESIS system will occur in early 2009.
