PR.com)-- The law offices of Befumo & Schaeffer, PLLC announced today that, pursuant to an order of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County, in Washington, Virginia, all claims and counter claims in the case Belmont Partners, LLC v. Andrew J. Befumo and Shelly M. Schaeffer have been dismissed.
"We are glad to be putting this behind us," said Mr. Befumo after signing the order. "We certainly hold no grudges and wish Belmont Partners continued success." Befumo and Schaeffer represented themselves in the law suit which was filed in March of 2008, and signed by Joseph Meuse, managing director of Belmont Partners. Belmont sought in excess of fifteen million dollars damages plus attorney fees for alleged unfair competition and other alleged acts following the formation of Befumo and Schaeffer's partnership in January of 2008. On October 2, 2008 the Judge presiding over the case signed the dismissal order in which Belmont received no damages, and no parties admitted any wrongdoing.
