Mindgrub Technologies Featured in May 2009 Chief Learning Officer Magazine Article

Chief Learning Officer Magazine’s contributing author, Dr. Greg Williams, writes an article about Mindgrub Technologies and their use of portfolios.

Ellicott City, MD, May 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Mindgrub: Using Portfolios for Business and Employee Development addresses the importance of portfolios to the business development of small, growing companies. Portfolios show the breadth and depth of company or individual performance. Largely, Mindgrub has used portfolios as a means to present a body of work to a potential client or employee.

The article’s author, Dr. Greg Williams, Director of UMBC’s ISD graduate program, wrote, “As a small, young company, new business development is critical to Mindgrub, and it uses portfolios to present its work to prospective clients and employees.” Mindgrub has created case study’s documenting three important areas of consulting services: the problem, the solution, and the results. We use this format to let potential new clients to better understand our internal development process thus giving them the confidence to choose Mindgrub as their one-stop shop.

Portfolios are also used by potential new hires as a way to review their qualifications, and by Mindgrub President, Todd Marks’ students, as a way to display their work and acquired knowledge. “While a resume provides bullet points of a candidate’s expertise, a portfolio offers an in-depth view of his or her potential,” Williams explains. “This same approach of evaluating an employee’s professional portfolio also lays the foundation for conducting performance appraisals and making decisions based on data.”
