Altea and Ubiq Combine Their Expertise to Offer Innovative Telematic Solutions

Altea and Ubiq have signed an important agreement to offer innovative Value Added Services (VAS) to Car Telematics in Peru.

Milan, Italy, July 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- First to be introduced are Fleet Management and Localization-based technologies, to be provided initially in Peru and then to be potentially rolled out in South America. The cooperation also aims at introducing customized solutions for insurance companies such as Pay–As–You–Drive (PAYD) or Pay-Per-Use (PPU). This will enable insurance companies (and car drivers) to significantly reduce their costs by exactly profiling their insurance according to the real needs, habits and usage attitudes of the drivers.

UBIQ is a Peruvian company that researches, develops and integrates market solutions for M2M (machine-to-machine) communication. By partnering with ALTEA, UBIQ consolidates its business with the addition of state-of-the-art telematics services, adding new business opportunities and widens the range of the applications offered to the final customer, greatly reducing time-to market.
