Plus Size Women Battle It Out on the Catwalk at the "Miss Plus Top Model Awards" 5th Anniversary in Hollywood

Hollywood, CA, November 07, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Miss Plus Top Model Awards show will celebrate its 5th year anniversary with a spectacular show in Hollywood showcasing the talents of eighteen beautiful, full figured women. The models will be judged on choreographed numbers, stage presence, and their runway skills on the catwalk. Trophies and awards will be presented as the ladies battle it out on the catwalk to see who will win the crown of, “Miss Plus Top Model.” The show will be held Sunday, November 8, 2009, at The Celebrity Centre International, 5930 Franklin Avenue in Hollywood, CA. Showtime is from 6:30 to 8:00pm with red carpet arrivals at 5:30pm.

“Most modeling competitions do not represent the majority of women, who are over size 12, so we decided to give plus women of all nationalities their own platform to celebrate their beauty. Our goal is to bring out the confidence and beauty in all women no matter what size they happen to be.” said Juliette Hagerman, the shows creator. Miss Plus Top Model Awards presents an opportunity to showcase the beauty of women who represent more than sixty million Americans who are plus sized.

The show will be hosted by actress, host, and plus size model Chenese Lewis. She made history by being the first woman crowned Miss Plus America in 2003 and as an actress her work on B.E.T’s hit show “Hell Date” showed her impeccable improvisational and comedic skills, which kept millions tuning in weekly. She is the creator and host of Hollywood NOW’s “Love Your Body Day”, an annual event where women of all sizes come together to promote positive body image, and PLUS Model Radio, the #1 podcast for plus size women.

Judges for the competition include: actress Kendra C.
