Weiner Family Studios to Donate Proceeds from Family-Oriented iPhone App to Charities

Mansfield, MA, November 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Weiner Family Studios is donating proceeds from it's well-received iPhone application, "Family Matters" (tm) to charities.

Family Matters is an iPhone/iPod touch application that allows families to enjoy deeper more meaningful conversations. According to the developer, Scott Weiner, "My family created Family Matters to help parents and children communicate more effectively. Unlike most applications targeted at children, this isn't designed to "keep the kids busy". It is designed to help the family learn from and enjoy each other. It's been getting some good feedback and my kids are excited people seem to like it. Recently we decided we are going to start donating the proceeds to charity and we are trying to get the word out."

His wife, Susan who came up with the application concept says, "This was a great family project and has helped our family. We put this application on the Apple App Store so we could help other families too. Now through the charity drive we hope to help even more families."

According to Mr. Weiner, "We are donating half the proceeds from the app to the Ronald McDonald House Charities through the end of the year. If this goes well we will identify more charities that fit with our family goal. We like Ronald McDonald House because it fits with our goal by making it easier for parents to spend time with their sick children."
