RE/MAX Northern Illinois Real Estate Network Honors RE/MAX Suburban and Its Associates

Elgin, IL, May 22, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The RE/MAX Northern Illinois real estate network recently presented honors to the RE/MAX Suburban organization and three of its associates.

RE/MAX Suburban closed 2,471 real estate transactions in 2009 yielding a total closed sales volume of $635 million. In recognition of its performance, it was named the network’s Top Company for Closed Transactions and for Closed Sales Volume. RE/MAX Suburban operates seven offices in six communities in suburban Chicago: Arlington Heights, Glen Ellyn, Libertyville, Mount Prospect, Schaumburg and Wheaton.

The RE/MAX Suburban organization also received the Outstanding Citizen Award for its fund raising efforts on behalf of Children’s Memorial Hospital of Chicago and the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN). In 2009, RE/MAX Suburban donations to CMN for the benefit of Children’s Memorial totaled more than $27,000, making it the leading fund raiser in the RE/MAX northern Illinois region.

Paul Cho, an agent with the RE/MAX Suburban Libertyville office, won top honors for earning the largest referral commission of 2009. Cho earned the referral fee when he put one of his clients in touch with another agent who helped the client acquire a commercial space in Bensenville, Ill.

Two members of the RE/MAX Suburban administrative staff who work at its central office in Mt. Prospect also were honored by the RE/MAX network. Wendy Smedberg and Lori Rock were presented with the Administrative Professional of the Year Award. Both women work in the accounting area and are primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day financial transactions and reporting systems for RE/MAX Suburban.

Smedberg, who lives in Arlington Heights, joined RE/MAX Suburban late in 2003, a few months before Rock, an Elk Grove Village resident, came aboard. Their individual skills and solid working relationship have helped RE/MAX Suburban make its back-office operations a point of pride.

RE/MAX is the leader in northern Illinois real estate sales and has been number one in the metropolitan Chicago real estate market since 1989. In 2009, the RE/MAX network in northern Illinois closed more than $6 billion in sales.
