Ashland University eCard Hits 2 million

Ashland, OH, January 03, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Ashland University's 2004 Christmas Greeting Card, designed by Red Red Design, has received over 2 million viewers, resulting in site traffic so high a designated server was needed to handle viewing and forwarding of just the card.

The 2006 resurgence of the card led many viewers to contact Ashland University and Red Red Design to thank them for the Christmas message offered in the card. Along with snowmen and a beautiful snowing gazebo scene, viewers enjoyed the peace and reflection they found in the eCard. Vice President for Enrollment Management Carl Gerbasi credited the card's effectiveness in that "It just hit the heart strings for some people." Responsive viewers included an US Army major in Afghanistan and an emergency room doctor in post-Hurricane Katrina Mississippi.

While the card was originally offered simply as a heartfelt Christmas greeting to Alumni and students, Gerbasi credited the card as a great marketing tool for the Christian university.

The card was featured in the Ashland Times-Gazette (http://www.times-gazette.com/news/article/1202691), and can be viewed at Ashland University's Website (http://ecard.ashland.edu/2004admission/index.html).
