Washington, DC, December 04, 2010 --(PR.com)-- As the special guest on the Bouncing Back Now show on the Real Coaching Radio TV Network, Mr. Bill Gladwell intrigued viewers as a famous hypnotist, entrepreneur, entertainer, dating mentor, and author; his new book is entitled: “In the House of Ideas.” Bill shared his interesting perspectives on relationships and revelaed his motto: Helping you make changes that will set in motion a new life.

The Takeaway Message
Gladwell’s key message to men and women alike is “to be authentic, be real, be genuine, and to live an interesting life”. As a dating mentor primarily for men, Gladwell advised that “you first take stock of who you are and who you want to be. You can continually work on yourself in background while you set out to clarify what you are looking for in a love interest. Take the time to write down what you want in a potential mate including: appearance, attitude, communications style, activities, and other important dimensions so that you have a good picture in your mind.”

Gladwell continued: “This picture can then be a frame of reference for when you meet new people to quickly assess whether there is a potential opportunity for a good relationship. Having a prepared list is helpful to deciding at the outset that some people clearly do not meet your criteria; this saves a lot of time and energy. Otherwise, you might just pay attention to those who pay attention to you.”

What to Say on the First Date
Gladwell recommended that: “Everyone can first work on yourself - set a goal - make the changes needed in you. Then go out, have fun, and live your life. While you are busy, you just might encounter a good partner for your next relationship – without looking.”

According to Gladwell, the first date can be fun -- or not. “Maintaining a positive attitude – just to meet and enjoy a new person and to see what happens is the best approach – with no pressure. Rely on your intuition for guidance. Among the conversation topics to avoid on a first date are: your ex-spouse, deceased pet, nagging health issues, child custody fights, and troubles at work.”

Gladwell cited good conversation topics on a first date as “your interests in books, music, and movies, your favorite restaurant, hobbies, and sports. And remember to ask them questions and to actually listen to their answers. If their answers don’t align with your questions – run, don’t walk for the door – they could be using a script from a predator dating service.”

Gladwell concluded with sage advice: “Be curious. Have fun and your date might just have fun as well. Then you are well on your way to a potential second date. It could take three dates for you to truly assess whether this is could be the beginning of a new relationship or not; be fair but cautious and withhold your judgment until then.”
