Dirett, as the name implies connects potential buyers of products or services directly to the sellers through classified adverts. Visitors to the site can post classified ads together with pictures, contact details etc. in various categories in only a few simple steps. Sellers, buyers or any other visitor can also promote their own, or others' ads, to their social networks such as Facebook and Twitter with just a click. Every single advert is reviewed manually to avoid SPAM, illegalities and adverts with not so serious content.

This online venture was created by Mr. Samuel Kruse and Mr. Johan Siggesson - Two foreign entrepreneurs residing in Malta for many years, both with extensive background in online marketing, viral marketing and web creation.

Mr. Samuel Kruse, co-founder of this project quoted: "We definitely feel that a good, solid website solely dedicated to classifieds is needed in Malta." He continues: "We are aware that there are a number of similar services out there but none, that we feel, really, really works in the way we are anticipating Dirett to work." Mr. Siggesson continues: "Classifieds might seem to be an insignificant business but the worldwide classified industry is valued at around 15 billion dollars". To put the figures into perspective that is more than many small countries' GDP (Including Malta).
