Vertonghen Acquires Dimolto, a Provider of Document Capture and Management Services

Brussels, Belgium, January 05, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Vertonghen announced today that it has acquired Dimolto Ltd., a provider of document capture and management services with headquarters in London, UK. Combined, they will continue to operate under the name Vertonghen Research.

Vertonghen is a global provider of Enterprise Document Management (EDM) and Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions and services that streamline the process of capturing mission-critical content for access from within business applications and processes. Its customers are high-volume banking and financials (both investment and retail), insurance companies, copyright and other high-volume administration companies but also more locally operating legal-, accounting- or secretary-offices.

With the acquisition of Dimolto, Vertonghen strengthens its service portfolio and integration capabilities, especially with regard to storage and backoffice support.

Dimolto enables its customers with best-of-breed solutions and integrations to support and optimize electronic document flows. It offers solutions and services for e-mail archiving, backlog scanning, electronic document hosting, reporting, automated indexing and form identification, OCR/ICR/OMR (both interactive and self-learning), legacy document/media conversion (e.g. tape, microfilm, microfiche), standards-based systems integration, Barcode-recognition and automated print-flows, printflow capture and conversion (IPDS/AFPDS), Storage integrations (Hitachi/HDS SAN, EMC Centera, HP SAN, Plasmon/HP/Qstar WORM/DVD storage solutions) and storage migrations and conversions.

Dimolto implements hardware and software solutions to create, distribute, scan, process, index, store, and retrieve a wide variety of paper & electronic documents, such as Business documents: Contracts, Purchase Orders, Invoices (Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable); Financial documents: cheques, ID-cards, bank slips, statements, account transactions, receipts, etc.; Employment documents and statements, legal documents, etc.; Shipment documents: CMR, waybills, courier/express bills, consignment notes, barcode documents; Electronic documents: computer forms, register forms; Statement and Transaction Reports (ERM/COLD); Photographic and Medical Images (DICOM), photo's of merchandise, real-estate, etc.
