Bits Republic (Vancouver) and CloudTerrain (Hong Kong) Reach Distributor Agreement

CloudTerrain will be offering its customers MOnet, the advanced secure collaboration system by Bits Republic Technologies, in order to help CloudTerrain customers share private information through the cloud. MOnet is a browser-based Document Management and Sharing System.

Vancouver, Canada, January 12, 2011 --(PR.com)-- CloudTerrain will offer Monet as part of its present suite of cloud-based Platform-as-a-Service, Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Software-as-a-Service offerings. The Monet application is currently available in the CloudTerrain Cloud Applications Marketplace and as such may be bundled with a variety of related online document creation, backup and collaboration services designed for medium-sized enterprises.

Key features of Monet include:

- File and folder sharing ‘in the cloud’ with privacy that is so complete that only authorized users have access to secure data. Not even Bits Republic or CloudTerrain as application and storage hosts have access to their users’ files;
- Secure file access and control from anywhere, and the ability to set sharing and collaboration permissions for anyone with no loss of security, right through a browser (no install required);
- Compliance with HIPAA, SOX, GLB and other privacy-related guidelines and legislation;
- File version availability and user access tracking through an online interface; and
- Support for client-side ‘managers’ that act as account-wide system administrators, assuring that corporate data remain under corporate control.

"We are very excited to work with Bits Republic" stated Edward Ng, Business Director, CloudTerrain. "Our pre-release of the product has garnered significant interest from clients in several industries. We believe this is the wave of the future. Those who understand the vulnerability of email and standard collaboration solutions really appreciate that their data is locked up tight with this system, they like that they can brand the product with their own corporate colors and logos, and they have found the service to be easy to use as well, which is really important."

Monet uses the patent-pending Bits republic security engine which provides a very flexible platform for client-side encryption and server side ‘blind’ hosting and management. This technology assures that only authorized users are able to access secured data and metadata, and that not even the application or storage hosts have access to it themselves.
