Women on the Verge Announces First WOTV Live Radio Broadcast of the Year to Air January 19, 2011

Tucson, AZ, January 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The newest Women on the Verge “hot topic” will air live on Blog Talk Radio on Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Picking up where they left off in 2010, member/panelists Dr. Karen Monroy, Rebecca Rasmussen, Dawn Rivers Baker, Jessica Pieklo and Robbie Kaye trade ideas on the WOTV monthly theme. Hosted by WOTV founder Ana Gonzalez Lewis, this month’s chosen topic is “Angry Woman, Quiet Woman” a subject which is particularly timely given the recent tragic shootings in Tucson.

The WOTV Radio show encourages callers to share their experiences and questions during this popular lunch time show. Previous themes of Living the Dream, Free to Be and Mothers on the Verge have provoked lively discussion among panelists and callers.

Women on the Verge is a fresh, growing, free online community of women, encouraging and supporting women to speak and let their voices be heard and has blossomed into an international community.

Based in Tucson Arizona, Lewis, CEO of award-winning web design firm Co-Op Web, Inc., and founder of WomenontheVerge.net, refers to herself as a “Latina who loves laughing, books, writing, gardening, yoga and vegetarianism and is a CASA volunteer.” In response to the question “Why a community for women?” Lewis responded “I was raised surrounded by strong, wise, outspoken women. I wanted to create an online community for women so they could experience the kind of support that has helped me be successful.”

The WOTV online community encourages its member (including a few men) to connect with each other to share and learn. There are blogs, vlogs, photographs, social media and other ways to creatively share concerns about business, family, kids, health and world news. WOTV aims to break down the stereotypes of women by being supportive and nurturing of its members and their endeavors. According to Lewis, being a Woman on the Verge means being accepted as yourself.
