Australian Franchise Directory Challenges Decrease in Franchise Enquiries

New features help to improve the health of the franchise industry

Sydney, Australia, March 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- In response to the decrease in franchise enquiries and the post-GFC nervousness of business owners across the nation, Australian Franchises has recently updated its website and added new features to its franchise directory to encourage growth within the industry.

In what has been considered the first of its kind in Australia, the directory now allows franchises and prospective franchisees to access a range of industry related services including new and existing franchises for sale, industry specific suppliers and job seekers.

Tracey Voyce, Director of Australian Franchises said, “This is the first time in Australia that an online directory has covered so many different aspects of the franchise industry. We want our site to be the ‘go to place’ for anyone involved with the Australian franchise industry, or those who are interested in it. That is what the market is after - one definitive source.”

The Australian Franchises directory was initiated by the directors of Bloomtools, a web design and Internet marketing franchise, in response to a lack of quality online directories available at the time they entered the franchise market. In particular, they saw a need for a directory that allowed franchisors to easily update their details and listings.

“We keep up-to-date with the franchise industry and meet its needs as we see them arise. For instance, we noticed a large increase in the reselling of existing franchises and decided to dedicate a section of our directory purely to this,” Tracey said.

“We have the technology available to manage a successful website and full-time staff continually monitoring the directory to ensure our advertisers, prospects, suppliers and job seekers are all getting the best results possible. As Franchisors ourselves, we know the challenges companies have with finding the right person to take on a franchise and we devote ourselves to minimising this issue.”

The Australian Franchises directory is currently taking listings for new and existing franchises for sale, as well as suppliers to the franchise industry, and will soon be taking listings for industry specific jobseekers.
