New Free Fall Seminars Assist Women in Navigating the Emotional, Legal, and Financial Aspects of Divorce

A team of divorce specialists is offering free seminar, "Navigating the Emotional, Legal, and Financial aspects of Divorce," at three separate dates and times throughout the fall. Dates include Wednesday September 21st, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Friday October 28th, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and Thursday November 10th, 2011 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. New Hope, PA, September 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- This Fall, three of Pennsylvania’s divorce specialists are teaming up to serve the needs of area women who are currently contemplating or navigating a divorce. Through three free specialized divorce workshops for women, Marianna Goldenberg, CDFA, Elissa C. Goldberg, Esquire, and Jane E. Kessler, M.A. will provide valuable unbiased information to help participants navigate through the challenging divorce process and gain practical knowledge to make better decisions.

The team is offering the seminar on three separate dates and times throughout the fall to make scheduling to attend convenient. Women may choose to attend any of the three dates free of charge. Dates include Wednesday September 21st, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Friday October 28th, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and Thursday November 10th, 2011 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

On the day of each seminar, Marianna Goldenberg, CFDA will discuss the financial implications of divorce, guiding participants through preparations such as defining marital net worth and compiling financial information. She will go over settlement negotiation and how women can maintain or re-gain financial independence. Participants will gain key information on how to ensure equitable division of property and handling taxes, transferring assets, budgeting, and protecting long-term financial well-being.

In addition to the financial information offered during each seminar date, Elissa C. Goldberg, Esquire will make participants aware of the different legal options for divorce with special focus on equitable distribution, child custody, and child support issues. Jane E. Kessler, M.A. will also speak, guiding participants through the sensitive issues of parenting through divorce helping them to plan for and avoid pitfalls.

Each free seminar on the dates listed above will be held at the Penn Wealth Planning Office located at 4 Gazebo Place in New Hope, PA. Sessions include light refreshments as well as an opportunity to learn and chat.

About the Speakers:

Marianna Goldenberg, CDFA is a Partner at Penn Wealth Planning, LLC. She has provided sound financial advice and integrated wealth management services to successful individuals and corporate executives for over 18 years. As a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA), Marianna is committed to helping her clients deal with the financial consequences of divorce. She earned a degree in Mathematics and Finance from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business. Marianna offers Securities and advisory service through LPL Financial, Member FINRA/SIPC.

Elissa C. Goldberg, Esquire concentrates her legal practice in the areas of divorce, equitable distribution, custody, child support, spousal support, alimony pendente lite and alimony. In addition to being an aggressive litigator, she is both a certified mediator and collaborative family law attorney. Elissa graduated with honors from Franklin and Marshall College and Temple University Law School. Prior to starting her current legal practice, she traveled extensively as an international adoption attorney.

Jane E. Kessler, M.A. has 30 years of experience providing counseling services as a Licensed Psychologist. Her professional experience included counseling students for over ten years at Bucks County Community College. She has also worked as a consultant to Bucks County Court of Common Pleas, and currently provides private custody evaluations. Ms. Kessler’s specialties include but are not limited to Forensic Psychology, Marriage and Relationship Counseling, Separation/Divorce counseling, and Counseling for victims of domestic violence.
