New Laptop Bag from Recycled Plastic Bottles

Grass Valley, CA, November 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Just in time for the holiday season, GreenSmart, the global brand of eco-friendly bags and cases, introduces its version of the traditional slim style laptop bag. The bag, called the Markhor, has an asymmetrical face and is constructed exclusively from fabrics made from recycled bottles.

Available in 3 sizes, both MacBook 13 and 15 and a PC 16” as well, the Markhor’s two separate front zippered pockets are divided unevenly to create two different size compartments. The resulting look is visually interesting and functionally valuable allowing for a power converter in one pocket separate from the pocket you might use for an iPhone or Smart phone. These contemporary, casual bags create a 2nd life for 11 and 13 recycled plastic bottles.

In addition to the padded handles and the detachable shoulder strap, the Markhor has an open pocket on the rear for stowing a magazine, file folder or newspaper. Inside, the user will be surprised by the bright orange lining with decorative stitching that appears to guide a laptop in and out of the bag. Important for the integrity of the bag, it has been embedded with reinforced padding in the two corners and mid-point of the bottom to add strong protection to the list smart design considerations in the bag.

The Markhor name comes from an endangered species of wild goat from the Northern Afghanistan and Pakistan regions, most notable for the signature corkscrew style horn that can grow up to five feet in length. Additionally, the company commits 10% of its profits to supporting non-profit organizations that are working to protect habitat.

The Markhor is available in 3 colors, traditional black, ocean blue and a medium grey. The Markhor retails for $59.95 and can be found at the Company website www.GreenSmart.biz.
