“The greatest return on the investment in attending the Summit in 2011 was the exposure to new options (providers and facilities) that are competitive economically, while maintaining high standards with respect to clinical outcomes,” explained Dr. Kevin Bowe, Deputy Director for the National Insurance Board of Bahamas.

Dr. Bowe attended the 2011 Congress as a speaker and first time participant of the Ministerial Summit; he has also confirmed his attendance at the 2012 Summit.

“I would recommend the Ministerial Summit to other country leaders and key tourism players simply because it provides the perfect forum for concentrating a vast array of stakeholders who play vital roles in every aspect of healthcare on the global scene,” said Bowe. “The Summit is like no other, empowering decision-makers with important information about some of the top players in the medical tourism industry, while simultaneously putting people with other persons whom they would not ordinarily encounter,” he added.

The 5th World Medical Tourism and Global Healthcare Congress is the largest medical tourism event in the world, open to leaders in this diverse industry. The Congress is designed to allow countries and other key industry players to capture a share of the billions of dollars already being invested, and increase their market share in this emerging and revenue-generating industry that is virtually untapped.
