Stogner to Serve as Master of Ceremonies for Animal Protection Society of Durham Event

Raleigh, NC, May 26, 2012 --(PR.com)-- ABC11 Eyewitness News (http://www.abc11.com) has announced that anchor Larry Stogner, who anchors the Eyewitness News at 6 p.m., will serve as master of ceremonies for the 2012 Walk For The Animals event hosted by the Animal Protection Society of Durham. The event will take place on Saturday, June 2 at Duke University’s East Campus, kicking off at 9 a.m. with breakfast, registrations and activities before the walk begins at 11 a.m. With the increasing number of homeless animals coming into APS, the walk will raise money and awareness for the animals of Durham County and the care they receive from APS, which aims to raise $80,000 at this year’s event.

Quotes:
“We are proud to see Larry serve as the master of ceremonies for the Walk for the Animals event and help raise funds and awareness for the animals of the Durham community,” said John Idler, President and general manager of ABC11. “These economically trying times do not just impact people. The number of homeless animals filing into shelters is on the rise, and APS needs the full support of our community in order to provide these animals with the best care possible as they are prepared for potential adoption into loving homes.”
