Death of a Female Musical Giant Debbie Thompson of New Black Music.net

Vocalist and Bassist Debra Debbie Thompson dies suddenly and tragically.

New York, NY, May 27, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Renown vocalist and musician Debbie Thompson passed away on Sunday May 20th in a sudden and tragic death. Two weeks earlier Mrs Thompson had fallen and broken her ankle and was wearing a cast. According to the autopsy, Mrs Thompson developed multiple blood clots which traveled to her lungs, heart and brain. Despite the heroic attempts of paramedics and being placed on life support Mrs. Thompson passed away.

Mrs. Thompson was well renown and respected in the music community as an excellent and accomplished bassist and vocalist. According those who followed her career, Mrs. Thompson had the kind of voice that comes along once in a generation, she was often called “truly amazing.”

Debbie Thompson also toured the world performing on nostalgia shows with various performers and groups from the 60’s and 70’s. Debbie Thompson was a devoted wife of over 40 ears to New York city musician and concert promoter Mr Fred Thompson. Debbie Thompson leaves behind eight children and many grand children. Services will be held on Sunday May 27th from 12noon to 4pm at the Grace Funeral Chapel 607 North Conduit and Pitkin Ave in Brooklyn New York. A memorial service and concert will also be held Monday, May 28th at Junior High School IS291 on Wilson Ave between Palmetto St and Gates Ave in Brooklyn New York from 7pm to 8:30pm.

Debbie Thompson will be buried on Tuesday at Pinelawn cemetery in Farmingdale, Long Island New York.
