Dr. J. Russell Burck is Associate Professor Emeritus of Religion, Health and Human Values at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center. Dr. Burck received a Ph.D. in Pastoral Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary. He consults on clinical ethics and as well ethic education of healthcare professionals. Dr. Burck is the author of over 60 publications. He has been nominated by the Association of Professional Chaplains to President William J. Clinton’s Bioethics Commission. Dr. Burck is a member of the American Society for Bioethics and the Humanities. He served as President of the Chicago Clinic Ethics Programs, is a Fellow of the Institute of Medicine in Chicago and a Board Certified Member of the Association of Professional Chaplains. In his free time Dr. Burck enjoys hiking, reading, films and the opera.
