The New Version of Japplis Website Optimizer is Now Free

Japplis has released Japplis Website Optimizer 3.0, a software that reduces the size of the website. This version is now free even for commercial use.

Amsterdam, Netherlands, December 05, 2012 --(PR.com)-- More and more people are now browsing the web using a smartphone or a tablet. And this trend will continuously increase in the coming years. Already most of the carriers have stopped with their unlimited Internet offers. Today it is then important to have a website as light as possible. To help reduce the size of the website, Japplis just released a new version of Japplis Website Optimizer. Using different techniques it shrinks and compresses HTML, JavaScript and CSS files up to 65% making the website faster.

Using Japplis Website Optimizer will have several advantages for websites. It will increase the customer satisfaction, the customer will more likely engage in the site (for example, buying a product), the bandwidth will be reduced and this will improve the image of the company. The visitor is also more likely to return to the site or to recommend the site to friends and colleagues. Having the code of the website shrunk makes it more difficult for visitors to read and copy the source code of the HTML, JavaScript and CSS of the site. It's a technique called obfuscation.

The main change is that Japplis Website Optimizer is now free even for commercial use. Other improvements include improvements in caching management with the support of ETag, upgrade of the used libraries and a few bug fixes. The user experience has been improved, for example tooltips will appear in the optimization options or the different fields to fill. The names of the directories to choose has been renamed for more clarity. The software will also remember the last selected directories. The previous selected directories are stored in a history and there is the possibility to bookmark the most used directories. A warning will be display if the optimized directory is the same directory as the website directory to prevent the user from erasing the source files. It's now also possible to copy the unoptimized files to the optimized directory, to ease the transfer to the server once the website optimized.

There is now a Pro version of Japplis Website Optimizer that includes advanced features such as PHP optimization and replacing tokens with standard text. Most of the time website pages contains similar code, for example for headers and footers, meaning that code get copied all over again in the web pages. Not only this makes reading the web page more difficult, this also makes changing the text more complex as every page needs to be changed. Japplis Website Optimizer Pro contains a solution where the user can add variables in the web pages and define them in a separate file. For example, the HTML page would contain ${copyright} and the properties file would contain copyright=© Copyright 2012 Company Name.

Japplis Website Optimizer works on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

For computers with Java installed, as most computers have, this tool can be run online with no installation required.
