Turning a Negative Into a Positive; JFCS’s Operation Military Assistance Program Receives a Donation as a Result of a Real Estate Short Sale in Sarasota County

Sarasota Realtor & Attorney work to help a client execute a short sale on their home. resulting in the sellers having the deficiency waived & a non-profit receiving a donation from the proceeds.

Sarasota, FL, January 20, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The recipient of the donation was Operation Military Assistance Program which supports local area veterans and their families who reside in Sarasota, Manatee or DeSoto counties and are homeless or are confronting other life challenges.

Charles “Chip” Taylor, director of Operation Military Assistance Program accepted donations from Generous Property and attorney Alyssa Nohren of Icard, Merrill who handled the title and escrow for the real estate transaction. “These donation are greatly appreciated because they allow us to use the money to do things such as purchase backpacks full of toiletries for some of our homeless veterans or help with moving costs etc… for some of the families we are helping,” said Chip Taylor.

“Lately we’ve been receiving requests for help from families where the husband and wife are both veterans. However they do not receive twice the assistance in many of these cases, so any additional donations from the local community goes a long way in helping these folks,” added Taylor.
