Michigan’s Most Creative Meeting Space Re-Launches with Open House

The Boardwalk Creative Center, Michigan's Most Creative Meeting Space, is having an open house to celebrate its grand opening in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The event will feature refreshments, a tour of the multi-room facility, and an iPod nano giveaway. The open house will be held at 2803 Boardwalk in Ann Arbor on August 16 and 17 from 11 AM until 4 PM. All meeting planners, event coordinators, and artists are especially encouraged to attend.

Ann Arbor, MI, August 07, 2007 --(PR.com)-- One needs to experience the Boardwalk Creative Center (BCC) to understand why it is different from any other meeting space for rent. Unlike the traditional beige conference rooms and ala carte amenities found at hotels and conference centers, the Boardwalk Creative Center is a vibrant, full-service environment for brainstorm sessions, meetings, seminars, team building events, and artistic presentations. It is a truly unique setting filled with original artwork, a variety of colorful rooms, illuminated sculptures, games, gadgets, art supplies, and fun furniture.

The Boardwalk Creative Center is available for groups of 5-80 people. In addition to a variety of small breakout rooms, three main rooms dominate the facility. The Auditorium seats up to 80 people and features surround sound video, professional sound, flexible seating, and versatile lighting options. It is perfect for not only seminars and retreats, but also art exhibitions, film festivals, and intimate live music concerts. The Conference Room includes not only tables and chairs, but also a large screen TV, a small trampoline, play balls, beanbag chairs, and bins full of mind-spinning and finger-twiddling gadgets designed to maximize creativity. The Green Room features an L-shaped layout, allowing for several seating areas, a small stage with sound system, and a widescreen plasma monitor for presentations.

In addition to the unique facility, the BCC offers packages that include team-building training, business consulting, catering, and group activities such as laser tag at the adjacent Zap Zone. Experiences at Boardwalk are certain to unleash the creativity of teams, spark new ideas, and create memorable events. It is Michigan’s most creative meetings space and the premiere teambuilding environment in the region.

Formerly known as the Thinkubator, the space has been relaunched as a non-profit, with proceeds going to support Frontline Service, a group that serves local efforts such as the Ann Arbor AIDS Walk, Ronald McDonald House, Dawn Farm, Habitat for Humanity, and the Salvation Army.

The BCC Open House takes place August 16 and 17 for visitors between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Members of the media are invited to a special reception from 9-11 AM. Contact Kirk Schneemann at 734-717-5380 or info@boardwalkcreative.com for more information.
