Fairfield Harbour Golf Course Welcomes Michael Cooper as New Hire.

New Bern, NC, April 18, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Fairfield Harbour (http://www.fhpoa.com), a residential boating and golf community located 15 minutes from historic New Bern, has announced that Michael Cooper has joined Harbour Pointe Golf Club, a resort-style 18-hole, par-72 championship course located within the community, as the new general manager. In his new position, Cooper will be responsible for ensuring the overall success of Harbour Pointe Golf Club, overseeing golf outings and events, and providing direction in all aspects of management of the golf facilities. The latter will include golf operations, course maintenance, customer service, sales and marketing, food and beverage, accounting and budgeting, and human resources.

Prior to joining Harbour Pointe Golf Club, Cooper served as assistant manager at Fernandina Beach Golf Club on Amelia Island, Fla. and later as director of golf for RedGate Golf Course in Rockville, Md. He received his Bachelor of Science in professional golf management and business management from Clemson University and earned his Class A PGA membership upon graduation. A native of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Richmond, Va., Cooper resides in Fairfield Harbour.
