Cape Coral Community Foundation Elects Real Estate Lawyer Tyra Read to Board

Fort Myers, FL, July 12, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The law firm of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., is pleased to announce that Real Estate Attorney Tyra Read has been appointed to the Cape Coral Community Foundation (CCCF) Board of Directors. The CCCF works to grow philanthropy by encouraging endowments, addressing needs, and providing leadership to strengthen the Cape Coral community.

Attorney Read represents buyers, sellers, property owners, as well as developers, builders and lenders in a wide variety of residential and commercial real estate matters. She drafts and reviews easement agreements, handles real estate and loan closings (including issuing title insurance) and foreclosures for lenders. Attorney Read also prepares and reviews loan documents for banks, private lenders and borrowers, counsels landlords and tenants in lease negotiations and prepares residential and commercial leases.

Attorney Read regularly writes on Cape Coral real estate matters on Henderson Franklin blog, The Legal Scoop on Southwest Florida Real Estate, and writes "Breaking Down the Real Estate Market" monthly articles for CapeCoral.com. Her articles “Florida’s ‘Save Our Homes’ Benefit and the Depreciation in Real Estate Values” and “Will the Helping Families Save Their Homes Act Help Florida Property Owners” were featured in a book entitled “Florida Foreclosure, What Lawyers Need to Know Now” published by Thomson West.

Attorney Read is very active in the Southwest Florida community and serves on the board of the Cape Coral Construction Industry Association (CCCIA), is a member of the Development Committee for Habitat for Humanity for Lee and Hendry Counties, Inc., is a member of the Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the Leadership Committee of the Cape Coral Community Foundation’s Giving Alliance of Women. She is also a member of the Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce.

Attorney Read received undergraduate degrees from Edison State Community College (A.A., 1996) and University of South Florida (B.S., summa cum laude, 1997). She received her law degree from Stetson University College of Law (J.D, magna cum laude, 2000).
