Northville, MI, September 12, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- Construction has commenced on Phase II of Addington Place, an Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care facility located in Northville, Mich. Toledo, Ohio-based general contractor, The Douglas Company, has put an ample team of professionals together to complete the new addition.
Senior Director of Business development, Marty Larnhart said, “This is a very unique project, adding on to an existing facility is a challenge. We’re working where people live and work. We need to be as invisible as possible. We’ve done a lot of this type of work in the past and it’s very rewarding, when the project is finished it will make a huge difference in the lives of everyone associated with Addington Place.”
Upon completion, the 23,466 square foot addition will be comprised of 40 private units with bathrooms, a beauty and barber shop, activity room and new dining facilities and living rooms. The basement will house a full kitchen and a Diesel generator with remote underground fuel tank will be incorporated into facility operations.
The $4.49 million project owned by Add Place L.L.C. is expected to be completed in late March, 2014.
