CAI Announces January 2014 Training Seminars and Development Programs in Raleigh

Local HR Management Firm Offers Comprehensive Training Courses for Triangle Business Professionals

Raleigh, NC, December 22, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Bruce Clarke, President and CEO of CAI, a human resource management firm that helps organizations maximize employee engagement while minimizing employer liability, announced the company’s January 2014 schedule of training and development seminars. All courses will be held at CAI’s Raleigh location at 2900 Highwoods Blvd., unless otherwise noted.

-“CAI Training Showcase” is a one-day program that will provide participants with a preview of CAI’s numerous training resources, as well as an exclusive look at CAI’s newest programs for 2014. During the program, participants will discover how CAI can help increase the effectiveness of supervisors, managers and other company leaders through training. Additionally, attendees will participate in abbreviated training sessions and learning exercises to help them make the right development decisions for their companies. Participants will receive a complimentary catered lunch in addition to multiple opportunities to win prizes throughout the day. -PHR/SPHR/GPHR Certification Study Course: What’s It All About?” is a free one-hour presentation that will help attendees determine whether or not an HR certification is right for them. During the program, attendees will discuss benefits of HR certification, as well as the challenges presented by certification exams. Additionally, participants will learn about the best ways to prepare for certification exams, receiving sample course materials from David Siler, PHR, SPHR, GPHR, who will lead the presentation. -“Fundamentals of Supervision Certification Program” is a two-day program designed to equip first- time supervisors and managers with the skills necessary to succeed. The event will focus on strategies for building trust, communicating effectively, motivating and recognizing employees, and managing conflict in the workplace. -“A Change in Course for Small Business” is a free half-day presentation that will focus on the way new Community Rating requirements will impact small businesses. Steve Byrd and Hue Sheahan from Hill, Chesson & Woody Employee Benefit Services will guide the presentation. The course will take place at two different times on Tuesday, Jan. 28, from 9 a.m. to noon as well as from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free to members and non-members. -“Communication and Conflict Resolution: Mastering the Key Skills for Working Effectively with Others” is a full-day course designed to help participants effectively communicate and resolve conflict in the workplace. Additionally, participants will identify conflict triggers and strategies to help avoid and manage potential conflict, as well as strategies for working with difficult people and managing responses to conflict.
