Greenbridge Condominiums Announces Opening of New Bikram Yoga Studio in Ground Floor Retail Space

)-- Greenbridge Condominiums, Chapel Hill’s newest energy-efficient luxury condos, has announced a new yoga studio, Bikram Yoga Chapel Hill, which will open its studio in April 2014 at the corner of Rosemary and N. Bikram Yoga Chapel Hill owners Andrea Newman and Ralph Newman chose Greenbridge Condos as the location for their 3,295-square-foot studio because of its central location, walkability in Chapel Hill and the building’s eco-friendly design. After opening their first Bikram yoga studio located on East Main Street in Durham in 2010, the Newmans recognized the growing popularity of the Bikram style of yoga. Bikram yoga is a specialized form of the exercise, requiring appropriate training and knowledge to teach it effectively. The Newmans completed their Bikram yoga training at the Bikram Choudhury studio, located in Los Angeles. Bikram yoga instructors are required to complete 500 hours of training over a nine-week period in order to be certified to teach.
Under the present ownership of SMA Greenbridge Owner LLC, a joint venture with Square Mile Capital, the luxury condo’s retail and commercial tenants include To The Woods hair salon; Caravela Coffee, a gourmet coffee importer; Newfangled, a web development company; Integrify, a provider of process and workflow management software; and the Southern Environmental Law Center.
The condominium sales effort has gained significant traction, with 70% homes sold. The company expects to sell the remaining homes within the next twelve months. Among the available condominium inventory, one-bedroom floor plans are for sale in the mid $200s, two bedrooms in the low $300s and three bedrooms in the $600s.
