In 2013, EatSmart selected 12 different charities based on the recommendations of their fans and donated 50 cents for every new Facebook like or Twitter follower earned in a dedicated month. A short post was featured monthly on the EatSmart Blog, outlining the charities mission and giving EatSmart followers the opportunity to donate.
