The Extra Mile Man Shares 5 Tips to Guarantee a Lousy 2014

Sacramento, CA, January 09, 2014 --(PR.com)-- For those whose past year can be counted in the “lousy” category, motivational speaker and author Shawn Anderson offers five tongue-and-cheek resolutions to guarantee that 2014 will look exactly the same as 2013.

Tip #1: Set less than spectacular goals.
Set sights low. Who needs goals...right?

Tip #2: Be afraid of taking risks.
Want more of the same limited success? Don't risk anything. Just keep walking the exact same status-quo road.

Tip #3: Watch a lot of TV.
Want to stay stuck? Watch TV! Undoubtedly, there will be lots of mind-draining shows on that will absolutely allow a lot of wasted time.

Tip #4: Act like a victim.
It has to be somebody's fault he isn't where he wants to be...right? Blame the boss for not paying enough. Blame the spouse for him being unmotivated. Blame the parents for how he was raised. Blame the government for not having a program to help him. The reason he is stuck in life must be because of one of them!

Tip #5: Give up.
He's too old and too broke to start over now, so don't even try. Just quit. And point fingers. And watch TV.

The author of six books, including A Better Life: An Inspiring Story About Starting Over and Extra Mile America: Stories of Inspiration, Possibility and Purpose, Anderson is also the Founder of “Extra Mile Day.” On November 1, 2013, 444 cities in all 50 states made the declaration to recognize the capacity we each have to create positive change for ourselves, families, organizations and communities when we “go the extra mile.”
