GreenBook and Infotools Launch Award to Recognize Good Examples of Research Data Visualization

New Data Insight Visualization Award (DIVA) aims to acknowledge the most innovative and effective data visualization examples within the insights space. Submissions are now open and will run through January 31, 2014.

New York, NY, January 16, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Infotools and GreenBook have just announced that submissions are now open for the new Data Insight Visualization Award (DIVA), which aims to acknowledge the most innovative and effective data visualization examples within the insights space.

“Marketing and insights professionals strive to communicate the insights that come from research data clearly and concisely, while inspiring decisions makers. The DIVAs celebrate creativity in how consumer feedback is synthesized and presented through visualization tools,” said Patricio Pagani, executive director of Infotools.

“Research is as much an art as a science when it comes to visualization. The days of simply presenting research results via static pie charts and tables are over. Today, clients need information that is impactful and actionable, presented in ways that tell a story that can be easily communicated to decision makers quickly and effectively. A variety of tools exist today to visualize data in ways to meet the evolving needs of business decision makers and DIVA is an effort to recognize excellence in pushing the boundaries of how that is happening,” said Leonard Murphy, GreenBook Blog Editor in Chief.

The DIVA hopes to highlight the value of visualizing consumer insight data and encourage the discipline more widely. Entrants will have an opportunity to explain why they feel their particular visualization most effectively communicates research insight.

A panel of judges will review all submissions and select a winner to be announced at the upcoming Insight and Innovation eXchange (IIeX) Europe in Amsterdam, February 19-20 2014. Confirmed judges include experts Moritz Stefaner and Vinay Venkatraman, as well as representatives from GreenBook’s Corporate Partners AIMIA, Campbell Soup Company, Ericsson, ESPN, Heineken, Johnson & Johnson, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Philips, Post Foods, Procter & Gamble, Merck & Co, and Unilever.

Three finalists will be invited to present their submissions and join a panel of data visualization experts at the IIeX conference in Amsterdam. The winner will gain exposure to a broad global audience of potential clients and partners before, during, and after the conference, and throughout the GreenBook media platform.
