SportSnax Partners with Aramark to Launch Concessions Delivery Service at Mississippi State University's Humphrey Coliseum

Starkville, MS, January 18, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Basketball fans at Mississippi State University's (MSU) Humphrey Coliseum no longer have to wait in long lines to enjoy concessions during the university's men's basketball games. Game attendees now have the option of having concessions delivered to fans in their seat with a click of a button from their smartphones. Fans visit www.dawgsnax.com on their smartphone browser and place concession orders through the mobile optimized web application. The application allows fans to simply select menu items, enter credit or debit card information and seat location, and submit the order. The order is delivered to fans in their seats within minutes.

The DawgSnax service launched in Humphrey Coliseum during the men's basketball game against Ole Miss on Saturday, January 11, with an average delivery time of five minutes.

The concession delivery service is the result of a partnership between the Ocean Springs, Miss. based software company, SportSnax, and the MSU sporting events concessionaire manager, Aramark. DawgSnax originally debuted last spring at Dudy Noble Field and saw a growth in fan usage throughout baseball season. Aramark and SportSnax opted to offer the service at men's basketball games at the Humphrey Coliseum based on the high adoption rates by fans at Dudy Noble Field.

"We couldn't be more pleased to continue growing this cutting edge technology in Starkville with Aramark," said SportSnax co-founder Daniel Payne. "Aramark has been an excellent partner to work with and we look forward to continuing our relationship with their team and improving services for fans."

DawgSnax is a product of the software company, SportSnax. SportSnax has developed software that allows sporting venues to put concessions in the hands of sports fans via venue customized web applications, allowing the fans to order and securely pay from their smart phone. The order is then routed to the nearest concession stand to be filled and delivered. The software utilizes sophisticated queuing and simulation models to help concessions partners efficiently manage the delivery challenge. SportSnax is currently working with several other Southeastern Conference schools to enhance the fan experience through the service.
