Hot Tub Dealer Gives Advice For This Years' Resolutions - Swim Spas Phoenix, AZ

Dimension One Spas and Swim Spas Dealer Gives Three Easy Tips to Stick to Your Resolutions in 2014 - Offers Free Test Soaks to Residents in Phoenix and Scottsdale, AZ.

Scottsdale, AZ, January 23, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Southwest Spas, the premier Dimension One Spas dealer serving the Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona area selling swim spas and new and used hot tubs is helping Americans to stay true to their New Years Resolutions this year.

“There’s no better time than the beginning of the year to get a fresh start on fitness. Losing weight and living healthier top the list of most common New Year’s resolutions every year,” said Melinda Dalacas, manager of Southwest Spas.

“One of the biggest reasons resolutions fail is that the brain is overwhelmed by them. It simply isn’t trained to handle a long-term, heavy-duty act of will power,” continued Dalacas. Here are three ways to help overcome the New Year’s resolution overload and keep those promises that will lead to a better life.

Avoid Overkill - Any time a change is made to improve lifestyle, it is a good one. It isn’t necessary to make all of the changes at once. In fact, making a huge change in daily life is more likely to overload the brain and cause it to lose focus. Instead of falling for the too much too soon syndrome, make New Year’s resolutions more manageable. Vow to give up one desert per week, or eat 100 fewer calories per day, rather than going all out on a drastic dietary change.

Even skipping 100 calories per day can easily result in a loss of one pound per week, and lead to huge changes over the course of a year. Little things really do mean a lot.

Make an Educated Resolution - Someone just saying they are going to lose weight may sound like a great resolution, but really, it’s likely to fail. It’s too vague and there is no plan attached. Of course, most of us understand the principles of dieting and losing weight, but that’s not the same as making a clear plan of action that is both reasonable and effective.

Don’t wait until it's too late to make a resolution. Plan for what it is that will be accomplished over the year to come. Decide early on what it is that will be the best diet plan, exercise plan, or method of losing weight, and then determine a healthy and realistic goal for weight loss. It is much less realistic to expect to lose 20 pounds per month than it is to expect to lose 5. Vowing to lose weight too fast, and then not being able to accomplish the feat, leads to disappointment, frustration, and giving up.

Use All of the Tools Available - Whether diet, exercise, or simply living a healthier life are part of the New Year’s resolution, take off the blinders that make it look like there is only one way to accomplish the goal. Add a hot tub to the home and use it nightly for a great way to get rid of stress, soothe joints and muscles that are sore from exercise and help get rid of excess pounds.

Hot tubs have been shown repeatedly to have many health advantages. A recent study by Phillip L. Hooper, M.D., showed that soaking just 30 minutes a day for several weeks helped patients lose an extra 5 to 6 pounds.

“To help local residents understand how portable spas, hot tubs and swim spas can help improve overall health and well-being, Southwest Spas will provide free hot tub test soaks during the entire month,” commented Dalacas. “We want to encourage local residents to check out the benefits of a relaxing soak in the soothing waters of a hot tub for themselves.”

Consumers wanting to learn more about hot tubs or about the $500 Wellness package (Massage Certificate/Health and Beauty Items) with the purchase of hot tub or swim spa this month are encouraged to visit the company website at http://www.SouthwestSpas.com.
