)-- SIGMAnet, Inc., a leading provider of IT infrastructure consulting, solutions and services in Southern California, has just announced they have donated ten bicycles to the William J. Oakes Branch of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego. The bicycles were the product of a teambuilding event during SIGMAnet’s Annual Sales Kickoff, held Jan 17th and 18th in San Diego.
“Our employees had great fun performing various teambuilding tasks to first ‘earn’ the parts for the bikes, then participating in a timed challenge to assemble them," stated Neil Wada, SIGMAnet COO. "But the fun and camaraderie of the event took a distant second place to the joy of watching these needy and deserving children receive the completed bikes. We’re proud to continue SIGMAnet’s legacy of giving back in our communities, and hope these children get to enjoy their new bikes for years to come."
“The recipients of the SIGMAnet bicycles were chosen based on their achievements at the club and their overall family needs. For many, this is the first bike they have ever owned,” noted Ricardo Sandoval, Boys and Girls Club’s Branch Manager. “It’s very important that we not only show our students that people do care and want to help them, but that we instill in them the obligation to continue to help others as their circumstances improve. SIGMAnet has been a great role model in demonstrating both.”
