Automatic Gate Resource Center to Offer Automated Gate Certification CEUs

Automatic Gate Resource Center is set to grant Continuing Education Units via one of its online courses. Certified Automated Gate Operator Installers can access the always available online course at their convenience.

Seattle, WA, January 31, 2014 --(PR.com)-- One of Automatic Gate Resource Center’s (AGRC) online courses now qualifies to grant Continuing Education Units to Certified Automated Gate Operator Installers looking to maintain their certification.

The Institute of Door Dealer Education and Accreditation (IDEA), a non-profit educational organization, sponsors the Certified Automated Gate Operator Installer program. Along with other stipulations, the rigorous program requires those hoping to receive certification pass a comprehensive exam on topics such as UL 325, installation of gate operators, and electrical troubleshooting, among others. Should test-takers pass the exam with the minimum 80% passing score while also meeting all other program requirements, they are then granted Gate Operator Installer Certification for a period of three years.

As part of maintaining their certification, during the three-year renewal cycle, installers must demonstrate a commitment to their professional development by earning 9 Continuing Education Units, where 1 hour of education equals 1 CEU.

“One of the things I’ve heard from busy professionals in various industries, is how beneficial just-in-time training is to them,” says Giselle Fuerte, co-founder of Automatic Gate Resource Center, whose many hats include that of Chief Technology Officer and Education Director. “The fact that AGRC offers an online CEU course means that certified installers can complete the CEU requirement on their computer, any time they’d like. It’s always at their convenience,” she adds.

AGRC’s always available CEU offering stands in stark contrast to traditional classroom training that may only be held once annually or in distant cities and states.

AGRC educates and connects consumers and gate professionals to create beautiful and safe automatic driveway gates. On AGRC’s website, along with educating consumers on automatic gates, gate system installers, manufacturers, and distributors share and gain access to tips, instructions, and online training on equipment, installation, and technical and sales issues. The subscription-based gate professional community and education portal is set to officially tee off at FenceTech, a fence and gate industry tradeshow held this year in Las Vegas from March 6-8, 2014.

AGRC will launch with an ever-expanding library of knowledge base articles, tutorials, and videos on sales, installation, and maintenance issues, as well as industry news and insights, a lead generation program, and a community forum through which professionals can get quick answers to difficult and complex questions.

“We’re proud to offer this enormous level of convenience to our members. This one CEU course is just the tip of the iceberg for AGRC. We’re in the process of getting CEU approval for a number of courses and hope to unveil those offerings in the very near future,” adds Fuerte.

At FenceTech, fence and gate professionals can visit booth 1080 to learn more about how AGRC can benefit them, while winning a chance at a few grand prizes.
