New Release Highlights Dating Tips in Time for Valentine's Day

This relationship book offers an insightful, humorous look at the effort one couple made to add some spark to their marriage while reconnecting on a heartfelt level.

Pendleton, OR, February 12, 2014 --(PR.com)-- A new book about dating and relationships by Oregon author Shanna Hatfield is out just in time to help inspire a little romance for Valentine’s Day.

Waking up one day to discover they’d gone from perpetual honeymooners to a boring, predictable couple, Hatfield and her husband, Captain Cavedweller, set out on a yearlong adventure to add a little zing to their relationship.

"Fifty Dates with Captain Cavedweller" is a G-rated journey through fifty of their dates that provides an insightful, humorous look at the effort they made to infuse their marriage with laughter, love, and gratitude while reconnecting on a new, heartfelt level.

Hatfield began writing romances in February 2010 and her works first published in June 2011 when The Women of Tenacity series debuted. She followed those stories with the Grass Valley Cowboys series and is currently working on a historical series set in Pendleton, OR, called "Pendleton Petticoats." "Fifty Dates with Captain Cavedweller" is her 23rd book and her first book in this non-fiction genre.

“I think most anyone who has been in a relationship for a while has a defining moment when they realize some of that initial spark has been lost,” Hatfield said. “This book follows our efforts and shares my honest thoughts on each date. My hope is that it will give some ideas to those couples who are struggling to make time for each other. Being together as a couple, regardless of what you are doing, is the important part.”

Hatfield blogs about her adventures in writing, publishing, and promotion at shannahatfield.com. She is a member of Western Writers of America, Women Writing the West, and Romance Writers of America. Her books are available from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Apple, Smashwords, and Kobo.

A graduate from Southern Oregon University with a bachelor’s degree in communications, Hatfield spent ten years as a newspaper journalist before switching gears into marketing. She recently left her “day” job in marketing to pursue writing full-time.
