CAS, Inc. Adds Durham’s Parkwood Community to Its Management Portfolio

)-- John Stone, president of CAS, Inc., a community and homeowners association management services firm, has announced the addition of the Parkwood community to its management portfolio. Located in south Durham off NC Highway 54, Parkwood is an eclectically planned community featuring single-family homes, townhomes and apartments. Home to more than 3,000 residents, the community is nestled next to a ball field and elementary school, and it includes more than 100 acres of trails, parks, playgrounds and lakes.
With the addition of Parkwood, CAS now has the distinction of managing the oldest, largest, tallest and smallest residential communities in the state of North Carolina. St. James Plantation, a single-family community in Southport, is the largest, projected to have 6,000 lots at completion. The tallest building CAS manages is the PNC building in downtown Raleigh, which stands at 33 stories tall. The smallest community is the McCormick Office in Pinehurst, with four owners. Parkwood, the oldest community in the state, was one of the first homeowners associations formed in North Carolina, on Sept. 25, 1960.
