)-- Total Fitness Clubs (TFC), today announced the results of their Bristol, RI health club location, Bristol Total Fitness’s participation in the 2014 American Cancer Society’s annual Pedal To End Cancer™ (formerly Spin For Hope™). This year 66 Total Fitness Spinners raised over $18,000 for the American Cancer Society.
Pedal To End Cancer™ (formerly Spin For Hope™) is a three hour indoor cycling fundraising event to benefit cancer research, education, advocacy, and services. Participants can spin as a one-person team, for all three hours, or form a team and split up the time. All funds raised support the American Cancer Society and its mission to eliminate cancer as a major public health threat.
“This has been a record-breaking year for TFC for both participation and raising money for the American Cancer Society and Total Fitness would like to extend our appreciation and gratitude to all the participants who contributed to the success of this great cause,” said Laura Jenkins, Total Fitness Clubs. “We’re especially proud of Total Fitness Member Andrea Alexander who was the Top 'Pedal to End Cancer 2014' Fundraiser in all of New England, for raising $8,250!”
