Electronic Health Record Association Recognizes Industry VersaSuite for Adopting the EHR Developer Code of Conduct

Austin, TX, March 19, 2014 --(PR.com)-- At its all-member meeting on February 23 at the HIMSS14 Conference in Orlando, FL, the EHR Association recognized seventeen health IT companies that have adopted the EHR Developer Code of Conduct. The Code was developed by the Association and introduced in June 2013.

Association Chair Mickey McGlynn (Siemens) told the recipients that, “By adopting the Code of Conduct, your organization demonstrated leadership and your ongoing commitment to collaborate as trusted partners with customers and the industry.”

The EHR Association engaged many stakeholders in its work on the Code, including the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), the American College of Physicians (ACP), the American Hospital Association (AHA), the College of Health Information Management Executives (CHIME), the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC), and the National Partnership for Women and Families (NPWF). McGlynn went on to say, “We worked hard to craft the Code as a set of pragmatic principles reflecting our continued commitment to safe healthcare delivery, continued innovation, and transparency.”

“As a member and participant in the HIMMS EHRA Association, we’re excited to be named a recipient of this prestigious award that was bestowed on a select few industry leaders in the EHR arena,” said VersaSuite CEO Darius Samani. “We will continue our adherence to the EHRAs guiding principles that foster continued innovation.”
