Help Make a Mother’s Day: Donate Diapers April 12th
Babies need diapers. Diaper Hero is a local charitable organization working to help families in need through facilitation of diaper donations distributed to local community outreach programs. Join Diaper Hero for a community wide diaper drive event on April 12th, 2014.

Imagine everything it takes to care for a baby. Now imagine it without diapers. For low income families in our community this is a daily reality. Babies need clean diapers. Diapers are an essential need for babies yet are not covered by other social safety nets such as WIC or SNAP benefits. The inability to keep baby clean and dry deeply impacts both the child and parent’s well being.
47% of children under 3 years of age in Kansas live in low income households.
Up to 12 diapers a day are needed for an infant.
Up to 8 diapers a day are needed for a toddler
Average cost of diapers per month is $75.
Average cost of baby wipes per month is $20.
Imagine how many families can be helped by each of us donating something as simple as a pack of diapers. or wipes. Help make a Mother’s Day! All donations collected between April 1st and May 11th, 2014 will be presented to partner agencies on May 12th and numbers collected through this effort will be publicized on the Diaper Hero website.
Join Diaper Hero in the fight against diaper need by dropping off a donation of diapers or wipes on April 12th, 2014 from 9 am to 1pm at Pathway Church, 2001 N. Maize Rd. Donations collected will be distributed to low income families through local partner agencies including Pregnancy Crisis Center and The Treehouse.
The following items are needed:
New disposable diapers of any size
Partial or open packages of disposable diapers of any size
Cloth diapers and supplies
Wet wipes in any quantities
Cash donations
