San Diego, CA, April 05, 2014 --(PR.com
)-- Starting at 11am, 80 bowling teams competed in a friendly community event with all proceeds going to the Ed Brown Senior Center. The 501(c)3 organization provides programs and opportunities for mature adults interested in maximizing and enjoying the best years of their lives.
The winning team was the “Bawlers” with the highest combined team score of 690. In addition to the money raised by participating teams, auction prizes including a stay at the Rancho Bernardo Inn and a LUSH gift basket raised additional funds for the Ed Brown Senior Center.
SuperBOWL 2014 partner Oakwood Escrow is passionate about giving back to the community and those in need. Oakwood Escrow demonstrated this commitment in 2013 by giving back over $20,000 to local non-profits and charities. Their partnership with the Ed Brown Senior Center is only one of the ways in which they are involved in giving back to the San Diego community.
Angie Stanley, VP Sales and Marketing for Oakwood Escrow, declared the event a success. “This year’s SuperBOWL event brought the community together to support a great cause. The money raised will benefit the senior community in the Greater San Diego area and we are proud to have been part of such a wonderful event.”
This year’s sponsors included Oakwood Escrow, Ticor Title, SBF Payroll, CRES Home Warranty, 92127 Magazine and Silvergate Retirement Residence.
